Weil-McLain was founded in 1881 by two brothers under the name Weil Brothers. In 1918 the brothers bought out one of their suppliers (JH McLain company) and renamed the company Weil-McLain. United Dominion purchased Weil-McLain in 1993. SPX Corporation purchased Weil-McLain in 2001.
Product LinesWeil-McLain has recently expanded their product line-up to include 80% and 90% AFUE furnaces, 13 and 14 SEER air conditioners, and air handlers. The Weil-McLain Ultra is a high-efficiency condensing gas boiler.
Weil-McLain has manufacturing plants in Michigan City, IN and Benton Harbor, MI.
